Tokyo Trend Walk: The New Breath of Tokyo
Tokyo Walk 2011 (organizers: Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Japan Walking Association) is a series of five walks that allow participants to visit famous locations in Tokyo and experience their charm.
The 5th Event in the Hibiya/Roppongi Area, the last event of Tokyo Walk 2011, will be held on December 17 (Sat.) The course that ends this series visits new and stylish spots in Tokyo like Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi Hills, as well as famous places from old Edo like Zojoji Temple (the family temple of the Tokugawa shogunate) and Sengakuji Temple, which is home to the graves of the 47 Ronin. Tokyo is decorated for Christmas during this season, and walking through the city offers many things to enjoy.
Participants can choose one of three courses (the approximately 20-km Course A, the approximately 11-km Course B, or the approximately 6-km Course C) depending on their physical condition and preferences.
Tokyo Walk 2011 began with the Tokyo Sky Tree and will end with this event. Why not discover Tokyo’s attractions while enjoying walking with family members and friends?
