Smoking

In Tokyo, based on the metropolitan ordinance, many wards and cities have their own smoking regulations, such as prohibiting smoking on the streets or imposing fine for violation. Smoking is also prohibited in public buildings, such as stations, airports, scientific museums and art museums except at designated areas. To purchase cigarettes from vending machines, you are required to use “taspo”, an age verification card to confirm that the holder is an adult. Let’s refrain from smoking at places other than designated areas including the smoking area on the street.
