Japanese Prefectural Tourism Promotion Corner

As the "nation's central source of tourism information," the Japanese Prefectural Tourism Promotion Corner is dedicated to promoting the appeal of different parts of Japan through various PR activities. The corner is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in collaboration with local governments and is located on the 2nd floor of the Metropolitan Government's Building No. 1. Feel free to use the corner to plan your journey!

Special Event 1: Sales of delicious local specialty products from Tanba, Kyoto
- Colorful rice, polished white rice, various types of glutinous rice (black, red, green, and yellow rice)
- Roasted beans, sweet soy beans, braised Tanba black beans, candied black beans, Kuromame Nigori sweets
- Various types of Kyoto pickled vegetables (Saga Shibazuke, Ajisuguki, Saga Fubuki, Sakurazuke, Sato no Aji)
- Miyama Shigure, fuki shigure (braised mountain vegetables), flavored shimeji mushrooms, braised bamboo shoots, spicy miso
- Tanba Kameyama-yaki crackers (plain, salad, soy sauce), hand-grilled rice crackers
- Kuromame Glacé, black bean and kinako (sweet soy powered) confections, Joyo Manju buns, steamed chestnut yokan, dorayaki sweets with chestnuts
- Various types of jam (apple, blueberry, Kyo Strawberry, Tanba Chestnuts, Kyo Tanba black bean and kinako)
- Yuzu (citrus fruit) liquor cocktails, junmai daiginjo sake, Shuden Onikoroshi sake, purple potato shochu liquor, and more!

Special Event 2: Tourism PR activities of Tanba, Kyoto

- Photograph events with mascot characters
Kamemaru of Kameoka City and Sakura-chan of Nantan City will appear on February 10, 11, and 12.
Mayumaro of Kyoto will also appear on February 11 for a full lineup of three mascot characters!]
