description This museum has a beautiful ambience surrounded by the nature of Kinuta Park. Works by Henri Rousseau, the representative naive artist and other artists associated with Setagaya are stored. Temporary exhibitions are held in cooperation with museums around the world. description The studio of the western-style painter Junkichi Mukai has been remodeled and his lifework of depicting rural Japanese dwellings in oil paintings and drawings are displayed inside. There is also a lushly green yard surrounded by natural forest, and temporary exhibitions are held for every season.

description This is located on the premises of Oba Daikan Yashiki, the residence of the Oba family of the former Hikone clan, which administered Setagaya. Historical materials regarding the local district are collected, preserved, and displayed. Historical materials owned are mainly about Setagaya and include archeological materials such as stone and earthenware artifacts as well as ancient documents, folklore materials, picture maps, photographic materials and books. There are video booths and reading rooms in the facilities where you can learn about the history of Setagaya. Additionally, Oba Daikan Yashiki is designated as a historical site of Tokyo, and the main building and the front gate are designated as nationally important cultural properties.

description A thatch-roofed farm house and plastered warehouse with white walls stand with the lushly green-covered Kokubunji Cliffs overlooking Maruko River in the background. The old farm house, which was said to be built during the mid-Edo era and remained in Seta, was moved and restored here. Designated as Setagaya ward's first tangible cultural property.
