Rose Festival 2008

Ark Garden is a collection of seven different gardens found in the Ark Hills building complex and its vicinity. Each garden grows a variety of seasonal flowers and plants that are suited for their characteristic environment. Featuring modern roses as this year's theme, the festival presents rose markets, live concerts, and many other events and programs that deliver the beauty of roses. While it is normally closed to the public to protect wild birds' habitat within, a rose garden located on the rooftop of the Suntory Hall will be open during the festival for a special public viewing. Rose fans will enjoy this rare opportunity to appreciate the garden's exclusive collection, including both varieties of Japanese-origin and those which were brought from abroad during ancient times, beautifully arranged in a sophisticated contemporary layout.
